18.384 Undergraduate Seminar in Physical Mathematics

An undergraduate seminar devoted to the mathematical modeling of physical systems. A broad range of topics will be considered, with particular focus on macroscopic physics and continuum systems, including fluid dynamics, sports mechanics and biophysics. Emphasis is given to the reading and presentation of papers. Instruction and practice in written and oral communication will be provided. 

Prerequisites: 18.300, 18.354 or permission of Instructor.
